About this webinar
Experiencing and appreciating different cultures gives us a greater understanding of the scriptures and a clearer view of God. We need to see not just the diverse cultures around us, but our own culture as well. When we fail to understand our own culture it can hinder our ministry and cause us to make assumptions about others and why they do things. However, increasing our cultural intelligence helps us to be more effective in cross-cultural ministry.
In this webinar you will learn:
- The definition of cultural intelligence.
- How familiar biblical figures used this skill in their ministries.
- The difference between competence and confidence in cross-cultural ministry and why you need both.
This webinar will be taught by Osoba Otaigbe. Osoba is a native of Nigeria but has made his permanent home in Manchester, England. Osoba believes; “Church leaders and members need to actively engage with diverse cultures, breaking barriers to create a community reflecting God’s love and unity.” He is author of the book Building Cultural Intelligence in Church and Ministry. He teaches cultural intelligence from his experience in business, as a mission strategist, and a pastor.
