Using Social Technology Effectively

Do international students still use email, texting, or Facebook to connect with friends and family? How do they learn about social events and how is this information passed on from friend to friend? WhatsApp, Snapchat, and Instagram are the go-to for international students to engage with both friends and strangers. However, many of us who are trying to build relationships with these students are still using methods that are not relatable to them.

This webinar will be taught by Elizabeth. Elizabeth has been on staff with Bridges for nine years. She is currently serving at Arizona State University where there are 17,000 international students from 157 countries! As the oldest of four children, she loves looking out for her international friends in the role of big sister. She grew up as a Third Culture Kid in the Philippines and this has taught her how to be at home with anyone anywhere.
