When civil war broke out in his country of Sri Lanka Kesavan’s family fled and eventually settled in Toronto, Canada. Kesavan searched for belonging and purpose in this new culture, but felt lost. In desperation Kesavan joined a gang during his teenage years. Gang violence eventually landed him in prison. Prison changed everything, because there he encountered God for the first time.
