How do we recognize when someone has been through trauma and what does the Bible tell us about how to love our neighbor that has gone through it? How does trauma affect someone long-term? Many immigrants and international students feel isolated as a result of the trauma they have been through. To make matters worse often these friends come from countries that have a stigma surrounding mental health. How can we meet our friends in their isolation and encourage them to take the steps they need to take?

This webinar will be taught by Nader. Nader is a licensed clinical professional counselor and spiritual director. He has experience helping individuals who are going through a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, career issues, and adult children from immigrant families as well as Third Culture Kids. Nader has a Doctor of Ministry in Spiritual Formation from Tyndale University College and Seminary, and he also holds a certificate in Spiritual Direction from North Park Theological Seminary and an M.A. in Counseling from Northeastern Illinois University. Married with four adult children, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, writing, and being in nature. View Nader’s website on spiritual direction.
