Afghan Refugee Webinar

Tens of thousands of Afghans have fled Afghanistan and arrived in the United States. Millions more are displaced within their own country or have begun a new life in neighboring countries. Most still live in limbo with an uncertain future and no real home. What is causing this crisis and how can you be involved? What does it look like to welcome an Afghan refugee or any refugee to your community? Hear why all this matters to God and get ideas for loving the foreigner near you. It will be a great introduction to our new course “Engaging Immigrants”. Our newest course will teach you the unique challenges immigrants face and how you can build long term relationships with them.

This webinar will be taught by Pat Hatch the Mission to North American Refugee and Immigrant Director for Presbyterian Church in America. Pat has extensive experience in serving immigrants in both secular and Christian fields. For the past ten years Pat has been assisting churches in understanding immigration and reaching out to immigrants. You’ll be provided with free resources and the opportunity to ask questions and share ideas through our chat box.
